BELOW ARE A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

How do I join?             

 

Just fill out the attached application form and our Membership Chairman, Mark Daley, DGK, will contact you as soon as possible. 

What are the annual dues and fees?   

 

Dues can differ from council to council but are usually in the $40.00 per year range.  Fr Carroll dues are $40.00 per year with an one time initiation fee of $15.00. A total of $55 due at your first degree of the order.

What is expected of me as a Knight of Columbus?      

 

The Knights of Columbus is a Charitable organization. We actively fund raise for that cause. It is expected that all knights attain full Knighthood by receiving the third degree of the order.

How do I become an officer of the council?       

 

There will be four major positions in your council. The first is Grand Knight followed by Deputy Grand Knight. The next two are the Chancellor and Warden. Also, there are a number of other important positions that include Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Recorder. All these positions (every council has them) are obtained through a nomination and then a vote. As a knight, you will be encouraged to seek office and serve to the best of your ability.

Will I be asked to participate in committees?         

 

You not only will be asked to participate, you may be picked to help the committee chairman. You will be also encouraged to propose and Chair a fund raising committee of your own. There is no time limit or requirement for charity work.
